MPC (Menlo Park Community) Ready is a community and volunteer-based organization. We live in the community and our volunteers are active in our community. Our focus is on helping to build GREAT neighborhoods that are socially connected and disaster prepared! Research proves the importance of neighborhood-level disaster preparedness. We focus our efforts within City of Menlo Park zip code of 94025. Knowing neighbors is THE cornerstone of disaster preparedness.

- We have identified what capabilities we need to strengthen;
- We are aware of our hazards, risks and vulnerabilities;
- We take mitigation steps to reduce the impact of a disaster;
- We take the necessary preparedness steps at the household/neighborhood level AND the City of Menlo Park organizational level; and
- We have local area coordinated plans, capabilities and resources to effectively respond to, and recover from, a disaster.
