Welcome to the Prepare in a Year Program. The State of Washington designed this program to help households become personally prepared. There are 12 projects to be completed. Each project was created to be easy to do, inexpensive and should only take about an hour to complete. We like it!
We know that we live in the Bay Area, so the hazards (potentially becoming disasters) aren’t completely the same. As time permits, we will update the hazard-related information to focus more on our area. Please also see the Do1Thing program and the FEMA 2024 Preparedness Calendar.
Please Register for the Prepares in a Year Program. Privacy Policy. We will post a new topic every month for the next 12 months. At the end of the year, the names of all those who registered and completed the 12 projects will be placed in a drawing for an assortment of prizes.
